DnB Step and Melbourne Shuffle with Markus 🇫🇮

We are super excited to Welcome Sixnen from Finland to introduce us to the world of DnB Step and Melbourne Shuffle! 🤩

🕺 About Sixnen

"Hi, my name is sixnen (Markus), shuffler and dnbstepper from Tampere FI. I've been shuffling since 2011 and dnbstepped for the last 5 years. My style of shuffling is mainly influenced by melbourne shuffle but I also like taking elements from electro swing shuffle. In 2021 I started teaching shuffle workshops and continued with weekly classes in dance studios. There was a growing interest for dnbstep around the same time so I've teached that in workshops for about two years now. I'm excited to come and teach in Spirit Studio! All you need for my classes is good dancing shoes, a water bottle and a curious mind :)"

👟 DnB Step Beginner Workshop

In the workshop we will learn a couple of the base steps of dnbstep using them in easy combinations as well as some history of the dance. We wrap it all together into a short choreography by the end. I will start from the very basics so you don't need any dance experience to join this workshop, but if you have shuffled it helps. I recommend using flat sole shoes (Vans, Nike Airmax etc.) with this dance.

👟 Beginner/Intermediate Melbourne Shuffle Workshop

This is a choreography based shuffle workshop where we the focus is on melbourne shuffle. We will practice the typical combos and body movements of melbourne shuffle and combine these into a choreography. It is recommended that you know the basics of shuffling (Running Man and T-Step) and manage to keep up with tempos of 100-115 bpm.
