👋 Meet Jérémy

Jérémy has +12 years of experience dancing, choreographing and teaching street and club dances. Their journey started in Paris with the Funk Styles and Old School Hip Hop in early 2000s and took them to BIPOC gay and trans cultures of Ballroom & Punking-Whacking in Helsinki today. Along the way they’ve experimented moving in many ways and set up collaborative and interdisciplinary projects across the Nordics and are now working. They’re the cofounder of Punking Diaries collective exploring the heritage of Punking through performance and community work. Previously member of the Iconic House of Ninja, they’re known now as Feather 007 in the Ballroom scene.

👉 Classes

Old Way / Pop Dip & Spin - beginner & beginners+ level

In this class we’ll review the elements of the Old Way and their inspirations. Then we’ll work with combos and freestyle to create performances that combine precision, style and grace. We’ll have a focus on musicality and intention throughout the practice. We'll also practice how battling can feed your style.

Punking/Whacking - beginner & beginners+ level

We’ll put Whacking in its original context and explore how the slaps and nunchakus contribute to a whole embodied expression. We’ll work as well on Posing, spins and jump, spacial awareness and dramaturgy in combos and freestyle.
