👟 W*acking W*acking is a club dance style that originated in 1970s Los Angeles, created by gay BIPOC men in underground clubs. It began as a social dance and a powerful way to express oneself freely on the dance floor. Clubs offered a space where community, connection, and self-expression could exist without judgment. The style is inspired by Hollywood action films, movie divas, cartoon characters, and martial arts, and is most often danced to 70s–80s disco music.
